Nestle Turtles Package Redesign
Overview

An innovative package design was needed for the Turtle’s brand to help bolster sales. Transforming the package from a flat box to this faceted carton provided a fresh, playful aesthetic while staying true to the classic appeal of the Turtle’s brand.

By choosing to make the candies individually wrapped, a freshness barrier was achieved without the need of excessive package components. This greatly reduced operating costs and eliminated the need for costly robotics.

The previous package was toxic and not recycle-friendly, as it included PVC shrink wrap, a formed styrene tray, and a coated paper liner. The new design is made of recyclable paperboard and printed HDPE film. Both materials are commonly recycled and non-toxic.
