Position Overview

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of multi-family properties. This role includes managing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring the upkeep and repair of facilities, working with subcontractors on renovation or add-on construction projects, and coordinating with property management to enhance tenant satisfaction and maintain property value.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions and maintain optimal property conditions.
• Manage repair and maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
• Collaborate with property management to address tenant concerns and maintain high standards of property upkeep.
• Oversee the inventory and purchasing of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Ensure effective communication among team members and with other departments to foster a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities or property management, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair processes.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Compensation : $25 - $32/hr
