As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from home. Base pay range $18.00/hr - $40.00/hr Responsibilities Provide 1-on-1 online Reading Intervention tutoring to students. Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform; no commuting required. Invoice for tutoring sessions; the platform handles payments. What We Look For In a Tutor Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Certified Reading Intervention with ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Ways To Connect With Students 1-on-1 Online Tutoring – Provide personalized instruction to individual students. Instant Tutoring – Accept on-demand tutoring requests when you’re available. Compensation & Benefits Base rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; you can earn up to $40/hour with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we process payments.
