This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of personnel, facilities and budget matters pertaining to fifteen Olympic Sports. Reporting directly to the Vice President and Director of Athletics, the Director will work closely with the men's basketball coach to enhance the athletic performance of student-athletes. The Director of Olympic Sport Strength and Conditioning Coach will work with the men's basketball program and other programs as assigned. This position will work closely with the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning Coach and will collaborate with fellow student-athlete services staff. The Director will work to empower the strength and conditioning staff by promoting teamwork and collaboration, open lines of communication, a coach-driven student-athlete centered approach, and cutting-edge methodologies aligned to best practices. Responsibilities Serve as liaison for newly hired and departing staff Maintain files for current players Budget Oversee all aspects of budget Responsible for all expense report forms Liaison with the Business office Nutrition Program Oversee aspects of team nutrition plans Design, implement, supervise and monitor all facets of strength and conditioning programs Periodized Annual Plans Sport specific resistance training programs Sport specific conditioning programs Individual programs when necessitated Conduct fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation Collaboration with sports medicine to ensure all preventative and rehabilitation concerns are addressed Team travel - Instruct proper lifting technique, assist in spotting when necessary, and conduct team warm ups and cool downs Ensure that the strength and conditioning department is in compliance with NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Participate in international, national, regional, and department seminars Anticipate potential risks of injury, have the ability to implement emergency medical procedures Liaise with other coaches, administration, team support personnel and department members as applicable Assist in recruitment, hiring, and supervising of highly qualified and competent strength and conditioning assistants and graduate assistants Keep updated on current strength and conditioning research Maintain all required SandC certifications Maintain current CPR/AED certifications Supervise and assist in general maintenance and cleaning of facility and its equipment Ensure facility is in proper order...
