The EI&C Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment at the power generation and utilities distribution facilities. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through inspection, calibration, testing, and installation work.
May require extended hours, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty. Work indoors and outdoors in loud, hot, cold, or confined environments near high-voltage equipment. Exposure to hazardous chemicals and industrial noise.
Education/Experience/Background: High School Diploma/GED is required. Progress toward a Journeyman or Master Electrician License, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronics is highly desirable. Equivalent experience will be considered. 2-5 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, or controls maintenance (power plant or industrial experience preferred). Familiarity with motors, pumps, turbines, generators, boilers, cooling towers, and emissions control systems.
Strong understanding of AC/DC systems, schematics, P&IDs, and control logic. Knowledge of safety protocols for chemicals, rotating equipment, confined spaces, and high-voltage systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear required protective equipment (PPE).
