Job Description

Channel Ship Services Limited (CSS Limited) is currently seeking experienced Offshore AUV Operators and Technicians (preferably located in the USA) to join our team. As an Offshore AUV Operator or Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems in offshore environments. You will work closely with the AUV team and project managers to ensure the successful and efficient completion of AUV operations.

Responsibilities

• Operating and piloting AUV systems during offshore operations.
• Conducting pre-mission checks and inspections of AUV systems.
• Monitoring and controlling AUV operations to ensure mission objectives are met.
• Collecting, processing, and analyzing data acquired by AUV systems.
• Performing maintenance and repairs on AUV systems as required.
• Assisting with the deployment and recovery of AUVs from vessels or platforms.
• Collaborating with the AUV team and project managers to plan and execute mission activities.
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintaining accurate logs and documentation related to AUV operations.
• Keeping up-to-date with advancements in AUV technology and techniques.

Requirements

• Experience in operating and piloting AUV systems.
• Relevant diploma or certification in engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience as an AUV Operator or Technician is preferred.
• Understanding of AUV systems, sensors, and equipment.
• Experience in collecting and processing data acquired by AUV systems.
• Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on AUV systems.
• Knowledge of subsea operations, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work on a rotational schedule and travel to offshore locations as required.
• Valid offshore medical and survival certifications.
