Responsibilities of the Property Accountant:

• Execute end-to-end property accounting for a diverse portfolio of 20+ commercial properties, ensuring precise and punctual financial reporting.
• Oversee all elements of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, managing collections, and conducting bank reconciliations.
• Generate monthly financial statements, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with property managers to guarantee accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Administer lease processes, including calculating CAM (Common Area Maintenance) charges, insurance, and property taxes.
• Assure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Cooperate with internal teams and stakeholders to offer financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• Assist in year-end closings, audits, and tax preparations as needed.

Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field id preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial property accounting.
• Sound understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite is a PLUS.
• Exceptional professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
