JOB DESCRIPTION At Tectonic Design + Build, our Laborer plays a vital role in the success of each project. This position supports the Carpentry Team by managing job site organization, running errands, and ensuring overall efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to high-quality residential construction. The pay range for Laborer is $20 - $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Directly reports to / supervised by: SuperintendentRESPONSIBILITIES Driving & TransportationSafely operate company vehicles to transport materials, toolsSafely operate large dually pick up while hauling, maneuvering, and operating a dump trailerLoad and unload construction materials and equipment efficiently.Perform monthly vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles.Job Site Labor & SupportAssist with site setup, demolition, dust protection, air quality management, materials staging, and final punch list tasks.Keep job sites clean, organized, and hazard-free.Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled tradespeople.Set up and break down job sites efficiently.Equipment & Safety ComplianceFollow all safety procedures while operating tools, equipment, and vehicles.Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles regularly and report any issues.Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to OSHA guidelines.General SupportRun errands, pick up materials, and assist with additional tasks as needed.Maintain the Tectonic shops organization and cleanliness.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSRequiredStrong awareness of safe working practices and adherence to safety protocols.Ability to follow supervisor instructions while also thinking critically and proactively.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Self-motivated, organized, and independent thinker with a strong work ethic.PreferredPrevious experience in construction, carpentry, or remodeling is a plus.Familiarity with construction tools and materials.BENEFITSWe value our team.
