About the Team

The Storefront (also called Restaurant Services) team empowers restaurants to start, operate, and grow their businesses efficiently with white-labeled services. Our products enable restaurants to build their brand and connect directly with loyal customers. We provide the commission-free technology they need to serve guests and manage operationsfrom online ordering and phone AI agents to loyalty programs. We work at the intersection of the digital and physical world, and the team oversees both the consumer and merchant sides of the experience.

About the Role

Were looking for a design leader who will spearhead this exciting 0-to-1 space. You will manage a team of 7-8 talented product designers. We expect this role to be hybrid, working 1-2 days a week from one of our Design hubs.

• Partner with cross-functional teams like Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to define the vision and strategy for our Restaurant Services products.
• Actively practice and evangelize customer-centric thinking throughout the entire org.
• Partner with the design leadership team to build a holistic design strategy for the 3-sided marketplace ecosystem.
• Align the teams priorities and deliverables to our overarching strategy and goals.
• Manage, develop, and hire a team of talented product designers.
• Coach and mentor designers on both soft and hard skills and help them develop and achieve career goals.
• Build a culture that elevates the team, in terms of both performance and morale.
• Establish an operating model that increases the teams effectiveness.

• You have 10+ years of experience in design, with 3+ years in team building and people management.

Compensation

The successful candidates starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employees work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
