Description NOTE: This position may be fully remote for the right candidate. The position of SEO Content Writer involves applying digital marketing and content writing expertise to support website and digital content marketing initiatives. The SEO Content Writer collaborates closely with various teams and stakeholders to develop, repurpose, inventory, and enhance content across multiple consumer-facing websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates engaging and optimized content that attracts and retains visitors to our website, ultimately driving traffic and improving our search engine rankings.
- Researches and analyzes relevant keywords to incorporate into content.
- Creates compelling and optimized content for various digital platforms, including website pages, blog posts, social media, and email campaigns.
- Writes clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy that adheres to brand voice and style guidelines.
- Optimizes content for search engines, ensuring proper keyword placement, meta tags, and other SEO best practices.
- Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in SEO and content marketing.
- Conducts regular content audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Tracks and analyzes content performance metrics, such as traffic, engagement, and conversion rates, and use data to refine content strategies.
- Works with other team members, such as designers and developers, to enhance content with visuals, multimedia, and interactive elements.
- Participates in brainstorming sessions and contributes creative ideas for content campaigns and initiatives.
- Ensures all content is accurate, credible, and aligned with brand values and messaging.
Requirements Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
- Proven experience as a content writer, preferably in a digital marketing or SEO-focused role.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with SEO tools and techniques, such as keyword research, on-page optimization, and SEO analytics.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content.
- Creativity and a passion for storytelling, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build positive relationships with team members.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
- A portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate proficiency in creating SEO-optimized content across different formats and platforms.
