We carry over one million industrial, material handling and business products that are sold through our website, corporate sales people and full color catalogs. We are constantly increasing our product offerings to meet the diverse and changing needs of our customers. Our customers include small to large corporations, institutions, government agencies and consumers across North America.

Key Responsibilities

• Day to day management of web site performance & applicable automation of SEO tagging

• Work with product & engineering to define technical SEO requirements

• Identify opportunities to improve crawling & indexation

• Support for page remapping & URL structural updates

• Bi-weekly site audits and reporting, with recommendations and roadmap scheduling

• Support SEO departmental lead Report building & automation

Competencies and skills

• 2-3 years experience in an SEO role

• 1+ year experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• A passion for deep analysis of web technologies & SEO

• A strong understanding of search engine crawlers

• Familiarity with BrightEdge, Google Adwords, SEMRush, and Quantum Metrics

• Experience with canonicalization, client & server-side redirects, pagination, crawl budget, XML sitemaps

• Technical auditing experience on large web sites, both static and dynamic

• Ability to recognize common technical issues and explain their solutions coherently, ensuring that teammates understand the recommendations.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues on sites with tens of thousands to over 1 million pages

• Ability to research technical issues and make actionable and well-informed recommendations based on your findings

• Comfortable retrieving and analyzing data from Google and Bing Webmaster Tools

• A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO.

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup function, and conditional functions)

• Familiarity with log file analysis

• A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO.

• Structured markup understanding

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position will be 90,000 to 100,000 annually. The exact pay will be determined by multiple factors unique to each individual, including years of experience, certifications, and the specific location of the job. Rates may vary in other areas due to differing labor costs.
