Location: Hybrid Role(NYC,NY/Pittsburgh, PA /Lake Mary, FL)- 3 days onsite a week

Duration: 6+ months contract with possibility for extension

Pay range: $34/Hour to $37/Hour.

Job Description:

writer resource required to support emerging technology policies, standards, and procedures. Policy pipeline and technology writing is a specialized skillset requiring contingent labor resources.

Qualified candidates may be required to provide writing samples.

Primary Job Duties/Tasks:

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of policies and procedure documentation for technology concepts.
• Translate technical or complicated information into clear, concise documents for various audiences.
• Review, critique, and edit documentation, including existing and draft documents
• Work with technology control management leads and technology/application teams to produce policy documentation and technology process documentation, including multiple levels of policy guidance, technical procedures, and documentation for use by control management, technology, and the business community.
• Interview subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate material organization within defined structures.
• Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions and work with stakeholders to document business requirements.
• Develop and lead the implementation of business process improvement recommendations.
• Maintenance of the internal documentation library, providing or coordinating special documentation services, and the oversight of special projects.
• Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefings to management.
• Work independently as part of a larger cross-functional team.
• Help with project coordination, support, and documentation.

Required Experience/Education:

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 10 years of experience in technical writing, research, and documentation (Minimum of 15+ years without degree), background in Financial Services, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years experience in relevant field
• Policy writing background: policy writing, analyst, research, emerging technology
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products and collaboration tools
• An understanding of internal auditing practices and challenges to policy and procedure documentation
• Excellent technical writing skills including research and policy documentation
• Familiarity with a wide range of different emerging technologies
• Hard working, self-motivated individual who is comfortable handling ambiguity and able to successfully complete tasks within deadlines with limited supervision
• Ability to analyze and synthesize information to draw accurate, logical, and actionable conclusions

Supplier Call Notes (2/7 at 2:30 PM EST):

• Team dynamic (Technology and cyber control team, partners with technology controls management)
• 2 Technical Writing roles (one at around 5 years of experience with the other around 9 years of experience)
• 5+ years of technical writing/documentation experience (previous experience with technology and/or cyber controls are highly preferred)
• Experience with Technical risk management, Technical cyber control, or Financial services is highly preferred but not a hard requirement
• Technical writer will work directly with the stakeholder so previous Business Analysis (or similar) experience would be a plus
• Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint, Teams
• Work shift is 8:00am-5:00pm
• Onsite expectation of 3 days per week in either Pittsburgh, Lake Mary, or NYC (please note the location on the resume)
• Extension/conversion are possible but not promised... HM will consider contract-only candidates
• 2-3 rounds of interviews
• Writing samples could be requested as part of the selection process
