The Staff Pad is looking for a Telephone Triage Nurse in Mount Vernon. The Telephone Triage Nurse provides nurse advice, assessment, education and care coordination to patients via telephone interaction. Using the nursing process, protocols and guidelines, the telephone triage nurse will assess, plan patient care, implement interventions and evaluate outcomes. The telephonic triage nurse provides an integral level of customer service to the patient, connecting the patient to the appropriate level of care during office hours. Serving as a trusted resource for patients, the telephone triage nurse can interpret provider instruction, provide patient education, escalate calls to appropriate members of the care team and disposition patients to a higher level of care as needed.

Education/Experience:

· Required: Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing; Current Maryland Registered Nursing License

· Preferred: Five years of nursing experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting; BSN

· Significant related experience with populations served may substitute for above requirement.

· Bilingual: English/Spanish
