The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc ("nVent") and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems. As a part of nVent, the Electrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers.
SHIFTS: \n - DAY SHIFT: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
\n - OVERNIGHT: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: \n - Reference the blueprint and confer with the Lead person to determine job requirements.
\n - Gather necessary materials and perform layout per specifications.
\n - Set up the welding machine and adjust settings.
\n - Operate a welding gun to weld steel, aluminum, etc., pieces together.
\n - Visually examine welds for adherence to quality standards; reweld defective joints and remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer, and/or grinder.
\n - Operate cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
\n - Apply the weld stencil and notify the Lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection.
\n - Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area clear of scrap and debris.

YOU HAVE: \n - High school diploma or GED.
\n - At least 1 year of welding experience or training.
\n - Must have or achieve welding certification.
\n - Ability to obtain forklift certification.
\n - Production welding or a certificate in welding is required. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF WELDING TEST AS PART OF INTERVIEW.
\n - Able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
\n - Able to properly operate welding equipment.
\n - Must be trained in applicable SOPs and work instructions.
