Job Description
Injection Molding Operator
The Injection Molding Helper plays a key role in supporting Operators and Technicians to keep molding equipment running efficiently and safely. This position involves handling materials, assisting with setups, performing simple part inspections, and helping maintain a clean and organized production area.
Responsibilities of the Injection Molding Operator
Assist with day-to-day operation of injection molding machines, including loading raw materials and removing finished parts.
Perform basic part finishing tasks such as trimming, inspecting, or assembling components.
Monitor equipment during operation and promptly report alarms, malfunctions, or irregularities.
Support mold changes and setups under the guidance of Operators or Technicians.
Conduct visual inspections of parts and use basic measuring tools to confirm specifications.
Move products to staging or packaging areas and maintain accurate part counts.
Help recycle scrap plastic when required.
Requirements of the Injection Molding Operator
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience helpful; plastics experience a plus.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination.
Willingness to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
Comfortable working in environments with noise, moving machinery, and airborne particles.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $20.00 - $30.00 an hour, based on experience
