Apidel Technologies is seeking a local contract Histology Technologist for a local contract job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Position: Histotechnologist
Speciality: Embedding, Microtomy
Duration: 13 Weeks of Contract to FTE
Location: Nashville, TN
Shift Timing: 3rd/ 3am-11:30am Tuesday-Saturday
Required Skills:
•\tEmbedding experience.
•\tMicrotomy experience
•\tCut 35 blocks/hour, Embed 35 Blocks/hour
•\tASCP or HT Cert Preferred.
Summary:
•\tThe main function of a Histotechnologist is to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
Job Responsibilities:
•\tAnalyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results.
•\tMay analyse samples of biological material for chemical content or reaction.
•\tCultivate, isolate, and assist in identifying microbial organisms, and perform various tests on these microorganisms.
•\tConduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals.
•\tOperate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers.
Skills:
•\tVerbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
•\tAbility to work independently and manage one time.
•\tKnowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
•\tKnowledge of Good Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human clinical trials) and local regulations.
•\tAbility to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
Education/Experience:
•\tBachelor’s Degree required.
•\tOver 5 years of embedding and Microtomy.
