As an Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work with dedicated professionals in an exciting, fast-paced environment, learning the skills that will help you build a meaningful career. During the 10 week program, the intern will be assigned to work as part of our on-site Human Resources team assisting with functions such as DIB, compensation, payroll, employee relations, compliance, ADA, investigations and employee engagement. Additional work could include supporting HR's partnership with safety, loss prevention, and operations through auditing employee data for accuracy.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Engage and communicate effectively with other professionals throughout the organization
• Use strategic thinking to approach problems and create solutions
• Develop and implement project plans; determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones and risks
• Communicate findings and project status clearly and professionally through emails, meetings and presentations
• Make recommendations to upper management
• Provide comprehensive reports to business leaders on assignments and other related projects
• Gain a strong understanding of industry trends and functional area initiatives
• Collaborate with fellow interns to complete a company-wide group project

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Currently enrolled as a college junior 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

It’d be great if you also have:

• Education toward a degree in a relevant major such as Human Resources, Communications, Business or Organizational Leadership
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment, excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Solid ability to organize, multitask and prioritize
• Some experience with data analytics and employee relations
