Traditionally-made clothing is mostly made from cotton or synthetic materials. Cotton is the most pesticide-dependent crop in the world, accounting for 25% of all pesticide use. Chemicals within synthetic materials get absorbed into your skin when you sweat, and inhaled into your lungs as the fabric breaks down, contributing to allergies and illnesses.
